I'm a 3D practitioner with 17 years in animation, a lecturer at Multimedia University, and a PhD candidate researching how Malaysian animation builds worlds that can grow beyond the screen. My work lives where craft, teaching, and story meet.
My doctoral research examines how Malaysian animated TV series are structured to support narrative expansion beyond their original stories — studying the worldbuilding, characters, continuity, and cultural cues inside Upin & Ipin, BoBoiBoy, and Ejen Ali that make transmedia growth possible.
I'm a 3D practitioner with roughly 17 years in animation and digital content production, and a lecturer at the Faculty of Creative Multimedia, Multimedia University, where I teach modelling, surfacing, look development, character animation, and visual effects.
My PhD research at MMU looks at how Malaysian animated series are built to grow beyond the screen — into games, film, comics, and interactive media. The thread across everything I do is storytelling through visual systems: every modelling, texturing, and lighting decision shapes how an audience understands a character, a world, or a story.
I'm especially drawn to how emerging tools — AI, real-time engines, procedural workflows — can expand creative possibilities without losing the cultural and narrative intention behind the work.
Seventeen years across the animation pipeline — modelling, rigging, surfacing and studio supervision — alongside lecturing and judging national skills competitions in 3D digital game art. A snapshot below; the full CV is one download away.
